Abstract
Cette étude explore la relation entre certains comportements en ligne des millénariaux canadiens et leurs attitudes à l’égard de la politique. Nous utilisons les données longitudinales de l’Étude canadienne de la jeunesse (ECJ), un sondage en deux vagues à huit ans d’intervalle (n = 967), et proposons des modèles pour étudier l’influence des comportements en ligne sur trois attitudes générales à l’égard de la politique. L’analyse des résultats suggère que la communication interpersonnelle et la recherche d’information en ligne augmentent l’intérêt politique. La recherche d’information politique en ligne augmente également le sentiment que le gouvernement fait quelque chose pour les personnes comme nous. Toutefois, la confiance envers le gouvernement est négativement associée à la participation à des discussions politiques en ligne et positivement associée aux activités de réseautage en ligne.
