La fonte de la neige qui s'accumule dans le Haut Atlas du Maroc représente une ressource en eau importante pour les habitants des vallées, car elle recharge les nappes souterraines et contribue au débit des oueds. Pourtant, l'état du manteau neigeux est mal connu à cause de l'absence de mesures in situ et de stations météorologiques à haute altitude. Pour répondre à ce défi, nous proposons dans cette thèse d'assimiler des données des surfaces enneigées dérivées des images à haute résolution spatiale et temporelle de la mission Sentinel-2 dans un modèle distribué de manteau neigeux forcé par des données de réanalyses climatiques. Cet objectif général nous a conduit à identifier dans un premier temps la résolution spatiale optimale pour simuler le manteau neigeux tout en limitant les temps de calcul. Ensuite, nous avons évalué l'apport des données de réanalyses météorologiques MERRA-2 pour estimer l'état du manteau neigeux dans un bassin versant peu étudié et important en terme de ressource en eau. Enfin, nous montrons l'implémentation et l'évaluation du schéma d'assimilation sur une saison complète dans un bassin versant pilote. Les résultats encourageants ouvrent la voie à une estimation régionale de l'équivalent en eau de la neige dans le Haut Atlas.
