Abstract
Girard et Chantre, dans Achever Clausewitz , analysent le processus d’évolution des conflits depuis les guerres napoléoniennes qui, en raison de la dynamique des affrontements violents entre les nations, a conduit à la disparition de la guerre comme institution limitant et encadrant la violence des conflits. Hathaway et Shapiro, dans The Internationalists , montrent comment, depuis le pacte Briand-Kellogg qui rend la guerre illégale, celle-ci a cessé d’être une institution et un moyen légal de gestion des conflits. Ce texte se propose de comparer et mettre en rapport ces deux façons d’entendre « la disparition de la guerre comme institution ».
