Pada Tahun 2019 dilakukan renovasi simpang presiden dengan pemasangan traffic light, menambah jumlah lajur, dan perubahan geometrik pada lengan jalan Jhoni Anwar. Desain ulang dilakukan dengan pelebaran jalan pada lengan Jhoni Anwar (T) dari 6.5 m menjadi 9 m dan penerapan belok kiri mengikuti Traffic Light (PLT) pada lengan Jhoni Anwar (B). Hasil perhitungan ulang didapatkan nilai DS sebesar 0.83 dengan tingkat pelayanan “D” yaitu arus mendekati tidak stabil, kecepatan masih dikendalikan, Q/C masih dapat ditolerir. Nilai tundaan simpang rata – rata adalah 37,75 det/smp. Panjang antrian lengan simpang Khatib Sulaiman (U) 84 m dan (S) 95 m, lengan simpang Jhoni Anwar (T) 58 m, dan (B) 47 m. Anggaran Biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk perencanaan Traffic Light yaitu sebesar Rp. 328.959.800,-.
