Abstract
Les allées d’arbres constituent un patrimoine culturel, paysager et environnemental des territoires ruraux comme urbains, protégé par divers codes de l’environnement européens. Les études sur le rôle spécifique des allées pour la préservation de la biodiversité sont trop peu nombreuses selon les pays. L’objectif de la présente contribution est de rendre compte du rôle important des allées d’arbres, tous environnements confondus, en tant qu’habitat et corridor pour de nombreuses espèces de Coléoptères, Hétérocères, Chiroptères, Lichens ou Bryophytes des Listes rouges. L’étude ne prétend pas à l’exhaustivité, le propos étant de faire connaître le rôle des allées d’arbres en matière de biodiversité, la nécessité d’enrichir les connaissances sur le sujet et les implications que cela a en termes de gestion. La triple nature de patrimoine culturel, paysager et environnemental des allées impose, pour la gestion, des arbitrages au cas par cas en fonction des objectifs recherchés.
