Abstract
Au moment où France Daigle commence à publier, la littérature acadienne compte déjà des auteurs reconnus, dont Antonine Maillet qui a reçu le prix Goncourt, des maisons d’édition, des prix littéraires et une critique qui recense les oeuvres publiées. Mais « de sa cohabitation forcée avec la majorité anglophone, dont chaque concession doit être durement négociée, [l’Acadie] hérite d’un sentiment de minorisation » ou d’« illégitimité profondément ancré dans son inconscient collectif » (Boudreau, 2004). Dans un pareil contexte, comment structurer l’intégration des langues dans le roman ? Quels risques l’écrivain acadien court-il en utilisant le parler vernaculaire dans ses écrits ? Quelle distance s’établit-il entre sa propre compétence langagière et celle de ses personnages ?
