centroamericanos a medida que cruzan por México en ruta hacia los Estados Unidos.Este documental es un retrato íntimo de un joven nicaragüense llamado Gustavo cuyo viaje hacía al norte es violentamente interrumpido cuando recibe un disparo mientras se transportaba en el techo de "La Bestia," ese es el sobrenombre de una red de trenes de carga que atraviesa México, desde la frontera sur con Guatemala hasta los Estados Unidos.La desgracia de Gustavo fue altamente politizada, finalmente se convierte en un boleto de oro al recibir la visa humanitaria que estuvo esperando pacientemente mientras se recuperaba de su lesión en un refugio para migrantes.Después de varios meses estacionado en el refugio y con una visa en mano, Gustavo está listo para avanzar sin tener que arriesgarse para saltar y viajar en el techo del tren de la frontera hacia el Norte.
