Abstract
This Information Circular is intended to be a basic guide for Alaskans interested in reducing, or mitigating, excessively high radon levels within their home or other buildings where they spend significant time. The following recommendations are primarily adapted from "Protecting Your Home from Radon (2 nd ed.)" by Kladder, Burkhart, and Jelinek and "Reducing Radon Levels in Existing Homes: A Canadian Guide for Professional Contractors" by Heath Canada, with Alaska's climate and people in mind.
