Abstract The mechanisms underlying intestinal regeneration and initiation of adenomas have been obscure. Here we profiled the single-cell transcriptomes of regenerating intestines and identify revival stem cells. Revival stem cells are dependent on Yap signaling, are transiently induced by a variety of damage, and are required to reconstitute the intestinal crypt. These studies reveal a unique pathway to regenerate damaged tissues. This abstract is also being presented as Poster A14. Citation Format: Arshad Ayyaz, Jeff Wrana.
