Abstract
Cet article analyse « l’image d’auteur » dans une perspective générique et sérielle telle qu’elle se construit dans la collection « Écrivains de toujours » lors de la première décennie de son existence (les années 1950). On y dégage le profil global de l’auteur des livres « X par lui-même » en montrant comment ce dernier donne son assise à la collection. Il s’agit ainsi à la fois d’explorer la régulation d’un genre de discours et de contribuer à l’étude de l’image d’auteur dans son rapport à l’ethos discursif.
