Welcome to a Special Issue of the IEEE Canadian Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, which presents some of the top articles (in extended form) from the Canadian Conference of Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE 2019) held in Edmonton, AB, Canada, May 5–8, 2019.
