Abstract
Le rire est une forme d’expression qui se retrouve dans toutes les cultures, l’une des marques premières de la sociabilité humaine. Énergie qui déborde et se diffuse, il est doté de plusieurs empreintes pouvant agir socialement aussi bien comme moteur d’intégration que de conflit, d’où son ambivalence intrinsèque. Cet article s’intéresse à l’analyse du rire en tant qu’outil d’interconnexion. Il se base sur l’observation de deux spectacles clownesques dans le cadre d’une enquête ethnographique lors du Festival Mundial de Circo (Brésil). Le propos s’appuie sur une double approche du thème : d’une part, la performance scénique est révélatrice des mécanismes de dérision engendrés par les artistes pour la fabrique du comique, d’autre part, l’expérience esthétique et la réception des spectacles explicite le potentiel du rire comme générateur de liens sociaux. Ceci sera le fil conducteur de l’article.
