Abstract
Avec la publication de son premier ouvrage de fiction intitul Arvida (Le Quartanier, 2011), l'crivain qubcois Samuel Archibald s'affiche expressment comme auteur du Saguenay (au deux sens de la prposition). En se rfrant aux rflexions du spcialiste en analyse du discours littraire Dominique Maingueneau, cet article entend dcrire le fonctionnement de cette paratopie saguenenne l'oeuvre sur les plans nonciatif, narratif et paratextuel. Ce faisant, on y tmoigne du rle que cette paratopie et ses dclinaisons populaires jouent dans le positionnement qu'Archibald adopte ( l'instar de son diteur) pour distinguer sa pratique scripturale dans le champ littraire qubcois contemporain.
