Abstract
Cet article propose d’explorer les indéterminations sémantiques à l’oeuvre dans Copie conforme (2010) d’Abbas Kiarostami, elles-mêmes au fondement des indéterminations narratives sur lesquelles le film construit son ambivalence interprétative. Au couple tiraillé diégèse vs mimésis se double la dichotomie original vs copie d’où s’observe le jeu signifiant de la déréalisation (Lageira : 2010). Exemplifiant par la négative la nécessité, pour tout jugement, de s’exercer dans des conditions référentielles, il sera démontré que Copie conforme contribue à la réflexion sur le problème proprement sémantique de la référence à travers la problématique de la copie en art (Danto : 1989). Narratologiquement fondé sur un réseau de signifiants émancipés (Descombes : 1983), l’oeuvre de Kiarostami ne permet aucun jugement interprétatif définitif quant à la vérité qui sous-tend le jeu auquel se prêtent les personnages-acteurs (Goffman : 1973) et par là démontre la nécessité de s’appuyer sur une théorie du signe à trois termes (Peirce) pour fonder une sémiotique propice à exercer, de manière pragmatique, la faculté de juger.
