Abstract
Rarement utilisées jusque-là dans la littérature québécoise, les formes brèves aphoristiques sont explorées par plusieurs écrivains, à la fin des années trente et au début des années quarante. Entre « maximes et papillotages », réflexion intemporelle, bons mots et confession sentimentale, ce corpus hétéroclite met en évidence une commune tendance au morcellement, à la discontinuité, en même temps qu’une volonté de savoir passant par le travail de la phrase. Ce faisant, ce corpus s’écrit en marge ou à rebours des doctrines, manifestant à la fois l’aspiration à l’autonomie littéraire et l’affirmation de la subjectivité amoureuse.
