Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We demonstrate experimentally a discretely tunable optical delay line (ODL) using a step-chirped subwavelength grating (SWG) waveguide Bragg grating (BG) in silicon-on-insulator (SOI). The step-chirped structure is implemented using a serial array of 10 SWG waveguide BGs. It is designed using 3D finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) and the transfer matrix method (TMM), and is fabricated using electron beam lithography with a single etch. The grating structure has a total time delay of ~60 ps in steps of ~6.6 ps over an operating bandwidth of 41.7 nm; the measured results are in good agreement with simulations. We demonstrate the application of the ODL for antenna beamforming in simulations; in particular, we calculate the array factors for different phased array antennas using the measured time delays.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
