Как правило, человек получает информацию о инвазивных видах растений или животных уже после установления факта их присутствия. Организовывает мониторинг степени влияния этих видов на аборигенных представителей флоры и фауны после широкого их распространения. Приступает к борьбе с ними, когда это уже практически невозможно. Аналогичная ситуация с инвазией золотарника канадского происходит в Беларуси
