PTPN VIII Dayeuhmanggung merupakan salah satu perkebunan teh di Kecamatan Cilawu, Kabupaten Garut, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Permasalahan yang terjadi di PTPN VIII Dayeuhmanggung adalah karyawan harus menerima setiap keputusan yang diambil perusahaan walaupun tidak sesuai dengan kemampuannya dan karyawan merasa pekerjaan yang didapatkan tidak sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui model karakteristik pekerjaan dan employee engagement yang diterapkan, serta pengaruh model karakteristik pekerjaan terhadap employee engagement di PTPN VIII Dayeuhmanggung Garut. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, analisis korelasi, analisis regresi sederhana, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model karakteristik pekerjaan dan employee engagement di PTPN VIII Dayeuhmanggung tergolong baik, dan terdapat pengaruh positif model karakteristik pekerjaan terhadap employee engagement, artinya setiap nilai tambah model karakteristik pekerjaan akan memiliki pengaruh pada penambahan nilai employee engagement.
