Dans le cadre d’une démarche de création d’un musée numérique éducatif, le présent article expose le portrait de l’offre en ligne proposée par les milieux muséal et scolaire. À partir d’une recension des écrits scientifiques faisant un état de la recherche, d’un inventaire des ressources numériques et d’entretiens auprès de notre public cible, notre analyse critique permet de dégager une typologie des équipements actuels et d’examiner les atouts et limites des contenus éducatifs, des dispositifs technologiques et des modes de médiation mis en œuvre.
