L'évolution de l'activité physique chez des femmes ayant un cancer du sein

Abstract
Cette étude, menée chez des femmes traitées pour un cancer du sein par chimiothérapie, vise à : (1) dresser un portrait longitudinal global de l’évolution de l’AP mesurée subjectivement (Godin Leisure-Time Exercise Questionnaire; GLTEQ) et objectivement (actigraphe) du pré-traitement jusqu’à six mois post-traitement; (2) étudier la présence de différences individuelles et identifier les différents profils de trajectoires d’AP; (3) investiguer l’effet modérateur du niveau initial d’AP au T1 sur la trajectoire d’AP subséquente; et (4) identifier les variables sociodémographiques et médicales associées aux trajectoires d’AP. Un effet temps significatif a été observé. Les résultats objectifs et subjectifs montrent une diminution significative pendant les traitements pour remonter significativement par la suite. Pour les données subjectives, deux trajectoires distinctes permettent de caractériser l’évolution de l’AP des participantes au GLTEQ, alors que quatre trajectoires caractérisent les données objectives. Les participantes ayant un niveau d’AP subjectif faible au T1 deviennent significativement plus actives au fil du temps, alors que pour la mesure objective, c’est plutôt un niveau élevé d’AP au T1 qui est associé à une augmentation de l’AP dans le temps. Finalement, aucune association entre les trajectoires subjectives d’AP et les variables sociodémographiques et médicales ne s’est avérée significative.
