Flax seed contains 7 times higher quantity of omega-3 fatty acids compared to other herbal foods such as soybeans, walnuts, spinach, almonds, bananas, etc. Also, seed and oil are increasingly being used in a wide range of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products and in the field of medicine. An intensive work on advancement and an endeavor to exploit fully indicates the beautiful future of in the world as well as in Serbia. It can be said that after 10 thousand years, with rising and falling in production and use, the was ready to enter the new millennium as one of the promising resources in the field of economy.
