Abstract
O presente estudo objetiva discutir sobre construcoes teoricas para abordagem familiar na pratica de equipes de saude na Atencao Basica e Estrategia Saude da Familia. Trata-se de estudo teorico, qual apresenta discussao de modelos conceituais que orientam a abordagem familiar: a concepcao de abordagem familiar sistemica e a concepcao de abordagem familiar multidimensional. A concepcao sistemica apresenta uma compreensao da unidade familiar por meio das suas inter-relacoes com o contexto social e modos de vida considerando a Teoria Ecossistemica nas dimensoes do microssistema, mesossistema, macrossistema e exossistema. A abordagem multidimensional, orientada pelo Modelo Calgary de Avaliacao Familiar, apreende a unidade familiar em sua forma tridimensional: a estrutura, o desenvolvimento e funcionalidade. Diante dos desafios contemporâneos para a reversao do modelo hegemonico em saude e a necessidade de se implementar praticas orientadas pela integralidade do cuidado, as concepcoes teoricas abordadas apresentam-se como alternativa para intervencao no contexto familiar em saude.
