Abstract
Un récent traitement pour les allergies alimentaires, soit l’immunothérapie orale, est maintenant offert au CHU Sainte-Justine. Le manque de variété et l’aversion envers les allergènes sont des problématiques fréquentes vécues par les patients. Il a été remarqué que l’intervention d’une nutritionniste serait bénéfique, bien que les modalités de la pratique devaient être définies puisqu’inexistante dans la littérature scientifique. nous avons donc créé et instauré une nouvelle prise en charge nutritionnelle, qui vise également à effectuer une surveillance de l’état nutritionnel des patients. Cette intervention comprend une consultation dirigée par une nutritionniste et des outils d’options d’équivalences destinés aux patients afin d’offrir une plus grande variété dans les doses à consommer. L’impact positif de l’intervention nutritionnelle a d’ailleurs été démontré par un essai randomisé contrôlé dont les résultats soulignent l’importance d’inclure une nutritionniste dans l’équipe multidisciplinaire en immunothérapie orale.
