Abstract
En los últimos años, varios científicos sociales revisitaron la región de Huarochirí, siguiendo los pasos de Tello y Miranda, Arqueólogos pioneros y originarios de la región. En los años 50, Matos Mar, Cotler y otros más estudiaron algunas comunidades de la zona y describieron sociográficamente algunas de sus características. Arguedas y Duviols, ya en la década de los 60, publicaron una traducción al castellano de los relatos de Huarochirí, conjuntamente con una nueva edición paleográfica del manuscrito quechua. Pocos años después, Spalding hacía un recuento histórico de la región en base a documentos de archivo. De otro lado, historiadores y antropólogos, como Huertas, Duviols y Silverblatt, utilizaron los materiales de los antiguos procesos judiciales por idolatrías para analizar algunos aspectos de la organización social y religiosa de Huarochirí, comparándolos con los de otras regiones andinas.
