Abstract
В статье анализируются произведения скульпторов, резчиков и живописцев Французской слободы Санкт-Петербурга в качестве источника формирования абсолютистского мифа и средства трансляции абсолютистской идеи в искусстве России. На основании сохранив- шихся памятников петровской эпохи (таких, как конный монумент Петра I Б. К. Растрелли, резные панно Дубового кабинета Большого Петергофского дворца Н. Пино, живописные композиции Л. Каравака и Ф. Бегагля) выявляются особенности репрезентации образа Петра Великого. Автор обращается к проектам неосуществленных произведений монументального и монументально-декоративного искусства, раскрывая особенности трансфера французских арт-идей в ходе «европеизации» русской художественной культуры. Сделан вывод о том, что именно мастера Французской слободы воплотили абсолютистскую идеологию Петра I в пла- стических искусствах, хотя и не обеспечили необходимую политическую корреспонденцию между императором и его подданными.
