<sec> <title>Introduction</title> En réaction aux taux élevés de maladies chroniques, la Régie régionale de la santé Capital en Nouvelle-Écosse a reconnu la nécessité de modifier le processus décisionnel axé sur les soins actifs pour privilégier une approche axée sur la santé de la population et guidée par des indicateurs sociosanitaires. </sec> <sec> <title>Méthodologie</title> Une enquête a été menée auprès des principaux intervenants à propos de leur connaissance des indicateurs socio-sanitaires en lien avec la santé, et à propos de leur opinion sur l’utilité de ces indicateurs dans l’aide à la prise de décision. </sec> <sec> <title>Résultats</title> Les répondants ont déclaré bien connaître les indicateurs sociosanitaires présentés et les ont trouvé utiles. Ils ont fait un choix plutôt consensuel sur les indicateurs prioritaires aptes selon eux à guider les interventions. Ils sont plutôt favorables à l’utilisation d’indicateurs sociosanitaires pour aider à définir une politique de la santé axée sur la population, du fait qu’ils ont participé au processus de choix, que la présentation des éléments probants a été faite en termes simples et pertinents, et que la diffusion des éléments a été large. </sec>
