Abstract

The article deals with the state of scientific research on the issue of the activities of social workers in the field of health in Ukraine. An overview of the participation of social work professionals in preserving public health in Canada has been reviewed. The existence of a close connection of social work with the sphere of protection and preservation of health was established. It is revealed that today the health-saving activity of a social worker is actively used in health care, education, and in institutions of social protection and service. The study focuses on the practical experience of Canadian health social work. The social work in the sphere of health is considered through the prism of fundamental changes in the health care system of Ukraine in the context of the implementation of medical reform.
