Abstract
Le latin et la culture antique, subissent dans les romans simoniens un véritable réinvestissement, faisant preuve, par réflexe culturel du narrateur, d’une réactualisation de la littérature antique qui n’est jamais sans signification nouvelle. Si des romans comme L’Herbe, La Route des Flandres, Histoire, La Bataille de Pharsale ou encore Les Géorgiques affichent une reprise à la fois au niveau structurel et au niveau des contenus de culture, l’antiquité latine réinvestie y perd son statut particulier : elle n’est ni tout à fait objet du texte, ni voix de l’autorité, ni preuve d’érudition, ni simple héritage culturel. En effet elle est transformée par le travail de l’écriture simonienne, notamment par le biais de traductions tronquées (faux-amis) ou de relectures productives de textes latins. C’est justement ces transformations, cette pratique du jeu intertextuel simonien, que cet article se propose d’analyser en se basant sur le concept de l’allelopoièse (l’interaction et la fécondation mutuelle entre une culture de réception et de référence).
