Abstract

-- ABSTRACT: Biomass cogeneration is a process that simultaneously produces electricity and heat from the combustion of biomass. Biomass cogeneration plants with ORC technology are most appropriate for small, isolated communities in Canada. Their isolation and remoteness make it difficult and costly to connect to the main electricity grid. Quebec alone has 23 isolated diesel systems. These networks are the main source of GHG emissions from the electricity grid, about 240,000 ton of CO2 equivalent in 2018. In addition to pollution, the price per kWh is much more expensive than the kWh produced by the integrated system in Québec, the cost of production varies between 30 and 50 cents in autonomous systems and 3 cents in integrated systems. The biomass cogeneration plant on Anticosti Island supplies the heating network and meets the needs of the inhabitants for heating and domestic hot water. The electricity produced will be fed into the electricity grid with a net power of 2.2MW. The combustion of biomass for energy production has considerable advantages for the environment and the economy of the region, the plant produces 15 times less GHG compared to the fossil fuel power plant, biomass is considered as a carbon neutral renewable energy because the CO2 resulting from the combustion is the one it has absorbed during its life cycle. \nORC technology has demonstrated its high level of maturity in the production of energy at low temperature and pressure, which is the most appropriate for developing biomass energy in isolated regions, particularly for communities where the economy relies on wood production and processing. The feasibility study determines whether the project is economically and environmentally profitable in order to encourage isolated sites to convert from fossil fuels, which are the main source of pollution in Quebec to renewable energy, this will ensure economic stability and encourage entrepreneurs to create new businesses. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : ORC, RETScreen, biomass, cogeneration, GHG, heating network, Anticosti- island, isolated electric network.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
