Les autrices analysent un ensemble de revendications féministes en ligne qui convoquent la figure culturelle archétypique qu’est la princesse, allégorie d’une féminité traditionnelle ne correspondant pas aux identités des cybermilitantes contemporaines. Elles étudient dans un premier temps un corpus de publications numériques francophones dont les responsables critiquent les normes et les injonctions véhiculées par les princesses de contes. Dans un second temps, elles examinent un cas particulier de réappropriation féministe de cette figure, soit le motclic #LesPrincessesOntDesPoils. Par ces exemples, les autrices montrent la manière dont le cybermilitantisme contribue à une autonomisation ( empowerment ) des femmes devant les diktats présents dans la fiction et les médias.
