Abstract
O presente artigo tem o objetivo de tratar sobre a relevância do ensino da Língua Portuguesa no curso de Ciências Contábeis das Instituições de Ensino Superior do município de Sinop. Para aporte teórico foram utilizados autores como Marcos Bagno, Ferdinand Saussure e Carlos Alberto Faraco, representantes da Linguística, para reafirmar o valor do ensino da língua em meio a outros saberes. A metodologia aplicada foi a pesquisa de campo, a abordagem foi por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e orais, transcritas nesse trabalho. Concluiu-se que o entrelaço entre as Ciências Sociais e Humanas é de grande relevância para a sociedade. Palavras-chave: língua portuguesa; ciências contábeis; ensino superior.
