Abstract
La démarche de Shirin Neshat est exemplaire de celle de nombreux artistes vivant en diaspora qui pratiquent l’emprunt et le réemploi dans leur travail de création. Sa représentation des chants alternés du nord du Laos, dans le film Games of Desire , illustre la manière dont elle se saisit de cet art oral pour en faire une œuvre avant tout visuelle, au service de la réflexion qu’elle mène depuis des années sur les relations entre les hommes et les femmes.
