Abstract
Cet article analyse l’expérience dans Kaléidoscope ou les aléas du corps grave (Montréal, Noroît, 1984), dernier recueil paru du vivant du poète Michel Beaulieu (1941-1985). À partir des réflexions du philosophe Giorgio Agamben dans Enfance et histoire, nous examinerons si et comment le voyage dans diverses villes américaines permet, dans Kaléidoscope, le renouvellement de l’expérience. Le recueil de Beaulieu montre qu’à travers une pratique particulière de l’espace, le corps du poète devient, au fil de ses pérégrinations en Amérique, un véritable corps expérimental, source d’une connaissance subjective du monde, qui tempère le sentiment de déréalisation que le sujet poétique éprouve dans sa ville natale, Montréal.
