O FUTURO DO COMÉRCIO INTERNACIONAL NA REUNIÃO MINISTERIAL DE OTTAWA SOBRE A REFORMA DA OMC: ALGUNS ASPECTOS EM PAUTA

Abstract
Reunião Ministerial de Ottawa sobre a Reforma da Organização Mundial do Comércio (OMC), em 2018, mesmo não contando com a participação dos EUA, um Estado nacional de peso no cenário das relações comerciais internacionais, foi momento importante para o ensejo do diálogo político e diplomático entre membros. As discussões oriundas da Reunião Ministerial indicaram mudanças e atualizações que devem ser feitas na OMC, visando à manutenção do status quo operante do sistema multilateral de comércio hodierno e à sua proeminência na condução do desenvolvimento econômico e do crescimento comercial. Partindo do exposto, essa proposta de reflexão objetiva discutir alguns aspectos da reforma da OMC que remonta a 2018. A abordagem da proposta baseou-se metodologicamente em pesquisa bibliográfica. Acredita-se, como resultado, que, embora a Reunião Ministerial tenha sido um momento significante para a evolução das relações mundiais de comércio, muito ainda deve ser feito diplomaticamente para que um regime equitativo se estabeleça.
