La question de l’évaluation de la compétence à communiquer oralement est peu abordée dans les travaux en didactique de l’oral au Québec et dans l’ensemble de la francophonie. Dans le cadre d’une recherche collaborative menée en milieu plurilingue et pluriethnique au Québec auprès de huit enseignantes du primaire, il a été possible d’explorer cette question. Chercheurs et enseignantes ont coconstruit des outils pour faciliter l’enseignement et l’évaluation de cette compétence, soit des documents de référence d’objets de l’oral, et ce, à partir des compétences réelles des élèves selon les trois cycles de l’école primaire québécoise (élèves 6 à 12 ans).
