O presente artigo investiga a medicalizacao nos discursos escolares, com destaque para as falas sobre inclusao escolar. Em seu percurso, busca tracar os caminhos percorridos pela medicina moderna, desde o surgimento da medicina social, pontuando aspectos que lhe conferiram o poder de normalizar a sociedade, atraves do estabelecimento de regras e parâmetros a serem seguidos. E a medicina quem delimita o normal e o patologico. Atraves dos conceitos e analises de Michel Foucault, procura-se tracar as bases para o entendimento da medicalizacao enquanto tecnologia do biopoder. A instituicao escolar tem acesso aos individuos na infância, cabendo-lhe o papel de governar seus corpos e conduzir os desviantes de modo a aproxima-los da norma. A escola medicalizada reduz questoes de ordem ampla a patologias do corpo culpabilizando o individuo pelo nao-aprendizado, rotulando criancas, banalizando o uso de farmacos e reduzindo o papel do professor.
