La situation stratégique du Japon n’est pas simple : allié des États-Unis et partenaire commercial de la Chine qui sont en concurrence. Pour Tokyo, la garantie de sécurité des États-Unis reste essentielle face à Pékin aux ambitions régionales hégémoniques. Il considère avec intérêt sa relation avec la France et l’Europe dans ce contexte.
