L’article s’intéresse au phénomène complexe de l’itinérance chez les femmes, un univers « caché et invisible » et jusqu’ici peu exploré. Cet article découle d’un projet de recherche participative-évaluative ayant pour objectif principal de comprendre comment la pratique émergente d’un organisme, centre d’hébergement pour femmes en difficultés, contribue à prévenir et réduire l’itinérance des femmes sur un territoire périurbain et rural au Québec. Pour atteindre cet objectif, des entretiens ont eu lieu avec différents acteurs, dont des femmes hébergées ou ayant déjà été hébergées, des membres de l’équipe et des collaborateurs et collaboratrices provenant d’organisations de la région.
