GALLA LOISEAUL'irrsistible tranget des gens du voyage L ' tranger est celui qui arrive de l' extrieur.Constamment ramen cette position d' extriorit, il est rgulirement mis au dfi de parvenir faire sa place dans le monde qu'il aborde, tout en conservant l'empreinte d'un monde autre, d'un ailleurs .S'interroger sur les manires dont il est possible de devenir l' tranger des uns ou des autres, suppose d'identifier le vecteur d' tranget qui participe de ce processus.Dans cet article, nous proposons de revenir sur les moyens tatiques qui ont t mis en oeuvre au tournant du xx me sicle pour faonner les nomades en tant qu' trangers de l'intrieur 1 .Mais nous irons aussi observer comment ces stigmates de l' tranget voyageuse essaiment et contaminent les cercles voyageurs eux-mmes.
