Abstract
En el presente trabajo intentamos mostrar que la concepción de escritura como archi-escritura o movimiento de la trace que desarrolla Derrida a lo largo de su largo trayecto intelectual posee un déficit en relación con la posibilidad de identificar la especificidad de la escritura en su sentido corriente, es decir como el ejercicio de trazar letras o signos. Para explicar este déficit proponemos articular el texto a partir de la Conferencia que Derrida da en Montreal en 1971 y, más particularmente, a partir de la categoría de iterabilidad que desarrolla el autor en esa misma conferencia.
