We show that the mixing angle $\\theta_{13}$, the temperatures of the emergent neutrinos and the binding energy released by a galactic Type II supernova are determinable (assuming the LMA solution is correct) from observations at the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) and at Super-Kamiokande (SK). We implement a supernova-model-independent analysis of the neutronization burst events at SNO that could yield stringent bounds on $\\sin^2 2\\theta_{13}$ if the neutrino mass hierarchy is normal. We demonstrate that a combined analysis of the SNO and SK events will provide a precise determination of the temperatures of the non-electron neutrinos and the binding energy of the supernova and will place bounds on $\\sin^2 2\\theta_{13}$ irrespective of whether the mass hierarchy is normal or inverted.
