Abstract
Dans le mode de (re)production typique de l’agriculture archaïque plus on vieillissait plus grandissait son apport matériel, moral et métaphysique à la survie darwinienne de sa communauté villageoise. En conséquence, les subalternes avaient tout intérêt à témoigner d’un respect cérémoniel à l’égard de leurs ainés (encore vivants ou partis au village ancestral). C’est dans cette asymétrie intergénérationnelle que s’enracine le fin fond du mal nommé « culte des ancêtres ».
