Abstract
Depuis près de 50 ans, le rôle des lois fiscales a changé au Canada : de la simple perception des impôts, il est passé à la création d’activités économiques dans certaines régions par l’octroi d’avantages fiscaux, notamment de crédits d’impôt. C’est le cas au Québec. De plus, par le biais de nouveaux « centres zones franches », le Canada cherche à attirer des capitaux étrangers dans des sites ciblés. Par ailleurs, pour honorer l’engagement pris il y a très longtemps à l’égard des Premières Nations, le Canada veille à protéger de toute imposition les biens des Indiens situés sur les réserves. Tous ces sujets fondés sur la territorialité sont abordés dans le présent texte.
