Les villes apparaissent de plus en plus comme des acteurs politiques à l’échelle internationale parce qu’elles constituent un échelon d’intervention efficace dans la gestion politique, économique et sociale des questions urbaines. D’autre part, l’implication des différentes parties prenantes et en particulier les citoyens a longtemps été synonyme d’une société démocratique. Cette implication s’avère être une partie intégrante de l’évolution économique et de l’épanouissement social et un axe de recherche de plus en plus intéressant. Le présent article cherche à relever les facteurs déterminants de la participation citoyenne en Algérie en prenant l’exemple de la ville de Tlemcen à l’aide d’un questionnaire.
