Abstract
Au moment de la sortie de ce livre, la France connaît des mutations territoriales qui touchent la médecine de proximité et la santé publique. Cet ouvrage esquisse des pistes de réflexions et d’actions pour une autre politique de santé, où l’humain et son territoire sont au centre des préoccupations sanitaires et sociales qui concourent à la santé, au soin et au bien-être corporel. Ce livre repose sur la conviction qu’en France, le premier niveau de santé devrait être repensé au regard d’expériences menées dans plusieurs endroits du monde (y compris dans l’Hexagone) et qui témoignent de l’intérêt d’une construction locale de la santé basée sur la prise en compte de ses déterminants médicaux et non médicaux, l’articulation entre les différents acteurs du territoire et la participation des citoyens. À partir d’études de cas observés au Canada, au Mali, au Brésil et dans l’ouest de la France, cet ouvrage développe le concept de construction locale de la santé.
