Effect of Al–Si alloy coating on interfacial reactions and tensile strength in Ti/Al dissimilar brazing joints
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Abstract We used ultrasonic-assisted brazing to join Al-Si-coated Ti alloys and Al alloys with a Zn-Al-Si filler metal. At the interface between the Ti alloy and Al-0.1Si alloy coating, a block TiAl 3 phase formed. In contrast, for the Al-5Si alloy coating, the interfacial reaction layer of the joint consisted of a block Ti(Al,Si) 3 phase and needle-like Ti 7 Al 5 Si 12 phase. Finally, a granular Ti 7 Al 5 Si 12 phase was formed at the joint interface for the Al-12Si alloy coating. The tensile strength of the joints formed with the Al-0.1Si and Al-12Si alloy coatings was only 160 -185 MPa, and cracks propagated mainly through the reaction layer. The tensile strength of the joints formed with the Al-5Si alloy coating ranged from 210 to 215 MPa, and cracks appeared entirely within the coating, subsequently expanding along the coating and ultimately resulting in failure of the joint.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
