Modelling and Development of Procedures for Embedment of Piezoelectric Components into Composite
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This work presents an approach to incorporating piezoelectric actuators into electrically conductive composites to develop a smart structural component. The structure was manufactured using AS4/3501-6 graphite/epoxy composite, copper lead wires, insulator adhesive (FM300-1K), and piezoelectric ceramic actuators. Structural integrity of the actuator was monitored during the manufacturing process through measurement of electrical impedance. Two models are presented for the simulation of the dynamic behaviour of the fabricated cantilevered smart structural beam. The first is an analytic model based on a static approach. The second is a finite element model based on an analogy between piezoelectric strain and thermal strain. An experimental dynamic analysis is presented to assess the accuracy of the two models. This analysis shows that these models correlate well with experimental results for low frequencies and suggests that the effects of insulation layers and actuator inertia should be considered in the models for better correlation at high frequency.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
