Abstract
El siguiente artículo se propone una revisión de dos nociones en la bibliografía crítica sobre la Trilogía de la Memoria de Sergio Pitol: la “hibridez genérica” y la “alquimia artística”, dado el escaso rigor con que son empleadas. En primer lugar, se analizan los distintos géneros literarios presentes en su obra. En segunda instancia, se profundiza en el diálogo interartístico, cuyo principal recurso, según José Luis Martínez, es la écfrasis. Finalmente, partiendo de diversas perspectivas teóricas (Kraus, Blanchot, Rosmarin), se propone una relectura de la Trilogía de la Memoria, como corpus que pone en crisis la teoría de los géneros literarios, y como representación textual de la cosmovisión pitoliana.
