Abstract
Zusammenfassung In Kinderarztpraxis und Notaufnahme können bereits wichtige Weichen für die spätere Behandlung krebskranker Kinder und Jugendlicher gestellt werden. Dies hat eine große Relevanz für die Prognose, da viele kindliche Tumoren schnell fortschreiten und mit fortgeschrittenen Stadien durch intensivierte Therapie auch vermehrt Nebenwirkungen und Spätfolgen einhergehen. Die häufigsten Warnsignale sind Knochenschmerzen, Blässe, Fieber, Kopfschmerzen und Erbrechen sowie Weichteil- bzw. Lymphknotenschwellungen. Zudem muss bei untypischen Symptomkonstellationen frühzeitig an eine maligne Genese gedacht werden. Die Kunst ist es, unter den häufigen, scheinbar banalen Symptomen die seltenen, aber ernsten Differenzialdiagnosen zu finden. Die „Schwabinger Regeln“ bieten hierbei eine wertvolle Hilfestellung.
