La formation des enseignants a subi de nombreuses réformes ces dernières années. L’observation des pratiques des professeurs stagiaires, au travers de l’activité qu’ils déploient en situation de classe, pourrait permettre de repérer un certain nombre de savoirs professionnels en cours d’élaboration ou de stabilisation. Cet article propose de donner quelques résultats d’une recherche longitudinale menée en 2011, qui consistait à observer les pratiques d’enseignants débutants pendant une année scolaire. Des enregistrements vidéo de classe et des autoconfrontations ont été menés régulièrement avec trois professeurs stagiaires sur leur lieu de stage en responsabilité. De façon plus précise, notre question de recherche portait sur les évolutions des pratiques repérables et observables. Quelles formes peuvent prendre ces évolutions de pratiques ? Quel type de développement professionnel est en œuvre chez les enseignants stagiaires ? Quels éléments construisent ces pratiques, ces développements professionnels et quelles sont les évolutions de ces éléments durant l’année scolaire particulière que vivent ces enseignants en formation par alternance ? L’article se centre sur les savoirs professionnels mobilisés par ces enseignants débutants et sur leur évolution pendant l’année scolaire.
